A very fine late Victorian dark red leather, tortoiseshell and silver mounted blotter by the well known London silversmith William Comyns & Sons and hallmarked London 1898. The central cartouche bears a Gothic style initial with a detachable red Moire silk lined writing surface and a recess for stationery. In very good condition for its age.DateLate 19th Century :
