Description

A beautifully crafted miniature chest of drawers in rich mahogany, dating from the fabulous Victorian era and presented in excellent antique condition. The front comprises four drawers, each fitted with turned wooden knobs delicately inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Slender Scottish-style columns flank the drawers, subtly carved and rising from a moulded plinth base, lending the piece a classical architectural presence. The warm patina and gentle signs of age speak to its history and enduring appeal. Likely created as an apprentice piece or intended for use as a collector’s cabinet, it stands as a fine example of regional craftsmanship. Elegant and evocative, it would sit beautifully in a curated interior or form a distinguished addition to a refined furniture collection.
