Description

This elegant Victorian writing slope is crafted from richly toned mahogany and presented in excellent antique condition. It opens to reveal a slanted writing surface lined in green felt, gently faded in places, bearing the patina of years of use. The upper compartment contains two clear glass inkwells and a pen tray, while the writing surface lifts at both ends to reveal generous storage, ideal for paper, envelopes, or even a laptop or tablet. True to Victorian ingenuity, the box features a hidden side drawer, with its original release mechanism still in working order. A fine example of 19th-century craftsmanship, this writing slope is both practical and decorative, offering a touch of history and timeless charm to any desk or study.
