Description
It would appear this carved Occasional Table was commissioned by a serving British Airman in India in 1925.The RAF Insigniais carved in the centre of the top, alongside the country and year, However, something was ‘lost in translation’ and the Royal Air Force bae came the Royal Air Fours. A lovely example of when Received Pronunciation goes awry.
A rare survivor and splendid conversation piece.
