Description

Large and very rare 18th elongated ginger jar. The rarity lies in the fact that it has both powder blue and under-glaze red decoration. The under-glaze red has been used to highlight certain parts eg flower petals and the sun. It was notoriously difficult to get right and indeed in this instance one can see that the red colour is very 'faded'.
