Description

A provincial oak 30-hour longcase clock, the square brass dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, and an arch painted with a naïve "axe" moon phase. The movement strikes the hours on a bell. The hood with turned columns and fretwork frieze, above a plain long trunk door and square base. Signed J. Pattison, Halifax. Requires attention to the movement.

John Pattison 1780-1801
