The sculpture depicts Rama and Sita from the Hindu epic Ramayana, lying together in a tender, passionate embrace, expressing their legendary love for each other.

This fine sculpture has been hand carved from a single piece of rich, dense hardwood.

This type of carving is highly collectable, and this example is of a rare exhibition quality, not to be mistaken for the majority of similar sculptures.
