Description

This fine example of a World War II military spotting telescope is the type issued to a British army sniper, who would have used it to locate an enemy sniper in a hidden position.

This telescope is in remarkable condition. The polished brass three draw mechanism is in super condition with good seals and has no dents.
The optics are clear and work well. The telescope is finished with a tactile and finely stitched tan leather cover.
The front of the barrel slides forward and forms a sunshade to protect against glare.
The fine stitched tan leather case, which houses the precision instrument, is in excellent condition, including the strap and leather covered buckles. This condition is rare.

The telescope is fully signed by the high quality optics maker, Broadhurst and Clarkson Ltd and also bears the military symbol of an arrow.
