A rare surviving leather merchant’s bag or large pouch. With brass nameplate for “S. Oldman and sons. Merchant’s’ (sic) and brass catch. Probably Stephen Oldman and sons auctioneer, appraiser and corn and seed merchant of Steam Mills, Earles Street, Thetford. Good condition.
