Two glass melon bells or cloches until recently in use at an English country house. One is earlier than the other with delightfully 19th century clear imperfections in the hand blown glass. The tops often were removed on melon bells as they could focus the sun into the cloche and burn the seedlings.Measuring 27cm high and 41cm wide
