Description

From the early 1960s this nicely figured walnut sideboard with a gently curving bow fronted top and central bank of three drawers flanked by side cupboards enclosing a shelf in each, is in a similar style to the A Younger Limited ‘Volnay’ sideboard with the round wooden handles, and bearing the plaque label of the retailer, Frederick Restall Ltd, House Furnishers, Birmingham & Stratford Upon Avon.
Featuring lovely patterns in the walnut and in a very pleasing condition with minimal signs of use other than two of the wooden handles on the top central drawer having been broken and glued, possibly due to the cutlery drawer having jammed at some point - of very minor detriment and therefore priced accordingly.
