Description
An extremely tall, mid-20th century, art pottery ceramic floor lamp by Tilgman’s Keramik of Gothenberg, Sweden, designed by Marian Zawadzki and signed with initials “AMZ 1966”. The raised design in subtle blues and greens with white high-lights on the dark grey sgrafitto background depicts a scene from Norse mythology where Odin (the principal Scandinavian god) with his spear and shield is leading a horse and Valkyrie bearing a fallen warrior to Valhalla.DateRetro :

ConditionThe ceramic lamp base is in perfect, unmarked condition and in good working order, although the shade is probably of the same age it may be a replacement and does have signs of wear.
