Mid 20th Century
Carl Petersen Silver Bowl
Stamped Sterling.
Carl Petersen was Danish born in 1895 and died 1977.
He was active circa 1944 to 1975.
He apprenticed with Georg Jensen 1908-1913.
He married Inger Jenson, Georg's daughter, in 1922 and they moved to Montreal in Canada in 1929.
There he worked as master smith at Henry Birks & Son form 1922.
In 1944, he set up his own business including a shop. The business closed two years after his death in 1979.
Approximate dimensions: height 67mm, diameter at top 104.5mm and 50mm at the base, weight 94 grams.
There is a slight dent at the rim and two at the base. Please see photos.
Otherwise in very good condition.
