Silver Double Sovereign Holder
Chester, probably 1902
Maker: probably William Neale, Warstone Lane, Birmingham.
The hallmark is very rubbed but just about legible.
The catch is good holding the lid firmly closed.
Pressing the button releases the lid but the spring is quite weak so it springs partially open.
The springs under the coin holders are in place and working well.
There are surface marks associated with normal use and age. There is a ding at one end where it has been dropped at some time.
The engine turned design is in very good condition.
