Description

This is a super quality French walnut bookcase cabinet with impressive proportions and in excellent clean condition dating from around 1870.
The fine cabinet has a tall central carved crest with floral detail above a pair of shaped doors glazed with good quality deep bevelled edge glass panels with an attractive quarto panel of Kingwood veneer beneath. Inside there are five multipositional shelves which measures 99 cms wide by 32 cms deep.
The cabinet is raised on carved cabriole legs to the base. There is a working lock with original key to the doors.
This is a knockdown design so comes apart for ease of transportation and installation in the home.
The cabinet is a most impressive piece measuring 228 cms high by 109 wide by 42 deep overall.
