Description

This is a good 19th century Japanese Fukugawa porcelain vase with beautiful hand painted floral detail and gilding. The vase has a short shallow neck leading to a floral shoulder with gilt scrolling flowers beautifully heightened in coloured enamels above the main body decorated with peony and chrysanthemums on a gilt trellis all with underglaze blue leaves that are heightened with gilding. The piece has the traditional red orchid mark to the underside and the vase measures 18 cms in height and is 12 cms in diameter.
