Large antique vintage ormolu brass 4 lamp crystal basket chandelier .

This chandelier has a patinated gold finish on brass and other metals.

Around 50 years old, with a nice age and patina.

The crystals are made of glass and we are unable to measure the lead content.

This chandelier will get noticed and would look great in the right location!

Approximate overall dimensions: 32cm diameter x 85cmH (could reduce height by removing chain links to 68cm. The chandelier is 54cm high alone, without the chain and ceiling rose.

The wiring is of a modern configuration with an earth connection. The chandelier takes the large Edison screw bulbs E27.

The chandelier is in good antique condition with minor historic knocks as one may expect given it's age, but nothing unsightly. Some crystals will have been replaced over the years.

This chandelier will come fully assembled and PAT tested.

Please note the following important precautions when dealing with chandeliers:

Because of the size and weight it will be necessary for at least two people to fix it to the ceiling.
Make sure that the ceiling and fixing are adequate to support the weight of the chandelier.
Check that no parts of the chandelier have worked loose in transit. If necessary tighten, but take care not to over tighten.
This chandelier must be installed by a competent Person (Building Regulations part P approved) and the lighting circuit is to be tested before and after installation.
Re-test the chandelier before connection to a mains supply (in case any wires have been disturbed or chaffed in transit).
There are often live components concealed beneath the candle covers, so do not remove these whilst the chandelier is connected to an electrical supply.
