Description
Early 19th century mahogany banjo barometer by the maker G. Chiesa of Liverpool. Fine veneers are edged with boxwood and ebony line stringing, and a classic swan neck pediment drops down into the beautiful curves of the barometer. It has a hygrometer, thermometer, engraved silvered dial and a glass level. The dial is fronted with a flat glass and ebonised metal bezel. It is in good working order. Circa 1830Height: 109cm
