A well crafted portable wooden chest dating from the mid 19th century. This substantial storage box is made of beautifully grained ash wood, with strapwork iron hinges, iron carrying handles and lock. The lid is exceptionally flat, unmarked and with a clear waxed surface a fine piece for use as a coffee table. Circa 1850Width: 101cm
