Description

A fine quality and generously proportioned Edwardian mahogany pedestal desk in the Georgian manner, the top having a green leather inset with gilt tooling, above an arrangement of nine mahogany lined drawers with projected fronts and brass ‘swan neck’ handles, and raised on plinth bases.

Please note that the top lifts off the pedestals of this desk for ease of transport.

Condition & Details of Restoration:
This desk is in original structural condition. The polish has been refinished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are minor old marks underneath the polish as would be expected on an item of this age, but certainly nothing serious or unsightly. The leather inset has been replaced, and has been ‘distressed’ i.e. marks have been deliberately added to give the appearance of age. In our opinion the photographs are representative.
