Description

A handsome and superior quality Edwardian mahogany ‘chair back’ hall sofa in the Chippendale manner, having particularly finely carved backs above a red leather upholstered drop-in seat, and raised on acanthus carved cabriole front legs with ball-and-claw feet.

Condition & Details of Restoration:
This sofa is in completely sound original structural condition. The polish has been revived and the seat re-covered (in genuine hand-stained cow hide), by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor old marks to the woodwork, as can be seen from the photographs.
