Description

A quite stunning Regency period rosewood breakfast or centre table of pleasingly smaller than usual proportions. The circular top is in eye-catching wild grained rosewood veneered on to tight grained mahogany for extra structural integrity, with a generous satinwood cross band and boxwood and ebony line inlay. The top is raised on four ring and baluster turned columns united by a concave sided platform, on hump sabre legs with inlaid satinwood panels, terminating in brass ‘lion’s paw’ castors.

The top of this table can be detached for ease of transport, and can also be tipped upright when attached, allowing the table to be pushed into a corner and remain a decorative item when not in use.

Diameter 44” (112cm) Height 29” (74cm)

Condition and Details of Restoration:
This table is in original untouched structural condition and completely sound. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor old marks underneath the polish as might be expected on an example of this age in our opinion the photographs are representative.
