Description

A fine quality Edwardian mahogany pedestal desk, the top having a green leather inset with gilt tooling, above an arrangement of nine mahogany lined drawers with projected fronts, brass pierced back-plate handles, and raised on plinth bases.
Please note that the top lifts off the pedestals of this desk for ease of transport.

Condition & Details of Restoration:
This item is in generally original structural condition the only exception to this is that although the castors appear to be original, they have been placed on later blocks, presumably to give the desk some extra height. The polish has been revived by our own polishers, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some marks under the polish, particularly to one of the lower drawers we have highlighted this in the detail photographs. The leather, though not original, has been in place for some time and bears the marks of use as might be expected we believe the photographs are representative.
