Description

A quite superb quality Edwardian mahogany and inlaid revolving bookcase, unusually incorporating a bank of four drawers and a cupboard to the opposite side. The quarter veneered top has incredibly finely detailed chequer banding and central marquetry panel. The cupboard, drawers, and plinth also have the same chequer banding. As is generally the case with the finer examples, it is raised on a cast iron base for extra stability. It also has its original brass plate castors with brown china wheels. All in all, probably the finest revolving bookcase we have had in many years.
