Superb late Regency period mahogany sofa table with generous satinwood and rosewood cross banding, having two drawers to the front and two dummy drawers to the rear, raised on elegant inlaid slab end supports and inlaid sabre legs with original brass castors, united by a turned and inlaid stretcher.DateRegency :

ConditionThis item is in excellent original structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old marks under the polish, but all very minor. The handles are of the period but not original however, there is no ‘handle problem’, i.e. unsightly marks left by previous handles. There is an ink stain to the interior of the right hand drawer (see photo).
