Description
Large bulbous monochrome Chinese vase with mythical beast handles and handpainted underglaze blue mark on base. Decoration based on Song dynasty bronze. Zoomorphic dragons surround the centre, the top band shows 6 Buddhistic sacred objects - eg parasol, ribbon. Key fret around the rim. Considered to date to Guangxu period when similar pieces were imported to UK by Liberty, Harrods and Selfridges.Condition: Some glaze rubbing, small baking crack on base.
