Description

A pair of hexagonal shaped Kangxi tea bowls - very small, early export- although decorated in Chinese taste, typical of the period. Both have blue circles and the fu good luck symbol on the base. Possibly made from Chinese soft paste - not quite as translucent as hard paste and giving a slightly creamy-white appearance - often used for small pieces, allowing for very fine decoration.
Good condition - although one has a very small chip on the base and the top rim is slightly worn.
Size: height 6 cm, diameter 5.5 cm
