19th Century dragon and phoenix vase with elephant head handles. Rare use of blue/black enamels. 6 character mark to base. Decoration on both sides of vase shows dragon and phoenix in slight relief within clouds and waves - representing the Emperor and Empress.Previously part of an old Scottish collection.
Old repairs to rim and handle do not detract from beauty of piece.
Height 30 cm, width 16.5 cm.
