Beautiful pair of Japanese Hirado/Mikawachi saki cups. Typical pure white porcelain body and clear glaze, finely painted in underglaze blue in the unmistakeable 'violets in milk' colouring plus red and gold decoration. Deep base. Good condition apart from small firing marks. Believe to date to early 20th century.Height 10.5 cm, diameter of top 8 cm.
