Description
Chinese blue/green glaze pot for carrying and dispensing liquid, possibly water or rice wine. Believe to be Martaban ware - unrefined stoneware storage jar- produced from various kilns in Southern China. A rope would once have been attached to the handles to enable it to be carried over the shoulder. Probably 19th Century although could be earlier.Height, including handles, 19 cm, diameter 20 cm.
