A magnificent example of a solid oak late Victorian gentleman’s reclining library armchair a truly magnificent piece of classic English furniture.

This fully reclining leather upholstered oak framed armchair features a pull out and adjustable foot rest and reclining back mechanism. This is an extremely rare piece of furniture in full working order.

This chair is in beautiful condition, but as you can appreciate, the chair is in its original leather upholstery. This is worn in places, and the foot rest has been changed at some point during its life. We feel that it would be a shame to re-upholster this chair as it would take away the charm and character of this classic chair.

The chair still stands on all of its original brass castors.
