A fantastic and large circa 1810 French chestnut hall seat. It features an original lift up lid, and is an ideal item to provide a vast amount of storage in any period style bedroom.It is unusual to find these pieces made from this timber normally, they would be made of oak or walnut. A lovely piece for any country residence in excellent condition for its age.
