We have for sale an absolutely stunning early Victorian Minton Newcastle shape basket weave cabinet plate dating to 1856.This lovely hand painted plate is decorated with green and gilt basket weave border with three floral panels around a central bouquet of flowers. the base is marked 4172 in red with the date cypher for 1856.
The plate is 9.25 inches (23.5cm) in diameter and is in an excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and virtually no wear to the decoration. This is a display plate that has spent its life in a cabinet on a stand.
