For sale we have a lovely silver heavy bowl made by the highly esteemed Arts and Crafts silversmith A E Jones.

The bowl is of a beautifully simple and elegant consisting of a heavy grade planished silver bowl extending to two simple but perfectly proportioned handles. The planishing has given both the interior and exterior a stunningly eye catching finish typical of A E Jones. The bowl carries full English Hallmarks for Birmingham 1922, along with the makers mark for A E Jones.

The bowl weighs approximately 210gm and is approximately 6 and 1/4 inches (15.8cm) in width including the handles, 4 inches (10.2cm)in diameter and 3 and 1/4 inches (8.3cm) high. The bowl is in a very good antique condition, but does carry a small impression to the front above the hallmarks and makers marks. This cannot be seen in the pictures and are almost impossible to photograph because of the hammered finish.
