Description

we have for sale a very interesting early to mid 19th century copper boot shaped ale muller.

This quite striking boot shaped copper ale muller has a tankard shaped body and handle extending to a long triangular foot. Extending from the body of the muller on the right hand side looking from the toe to the handle is a short a spout. The piece probably dates to somewhere around the late Georgian to early Victorian period.

The ale muller is approximately 12.5 inches (31.8 cm)long from toe to handle, 4.75 inches (12cm) high and 3.5 inches (8.9cm) in diameter. It is in a good antique condition, it holds fluid, however the rim is a bit mishapen, there is some movement of the handle and it does carry the surface wear and indentations one would expect from an antique piece of copper dating from around the mid 19th century that probably spent some of its life in and out of fire embers.
