We have for sale a very unusual arts and crafts silver feeding spoon dating to 1911.

This feeding spoon is hand crafted with a half egg shaped planished bowl extending to a long flattened but slightly convex handle at its terminal. The handle is decorated with a lightly hand planished thread along the lateral edges of the slightly convex handle terminus to the upper side and the underside is similarly lightly planished with lateral threads extending from the bowl.

The reverse of the handle carries full English hallmarks for London 1911 along with the rather rare makes marks for Alfred Godfrey.

The spoon is 6 inches (15cm) long and the bowl is 2.5 inches (6.5cm) long and 1.4 inches (3.5cm) wide. The spoon is in a very good condition with clearly struck hallmarks and makers marks.
