We have for sale an attractive and hard to find matching set of six Georgian Hester Bateman silver teaspoons.

The Old English pattern teaspoons are engraved on the handle with with the letters W M and the reverse of the spoons carry the sterling silver marks and date marks for 1790 along with the makers marks for Hester Bateman. As is common for teaspoons of this period the spoons lack the assay office mark, but they will have been hallmarked in London.

The spoons are approximately 5 inches long and are in a good antique condition with hallmarks and makers marks ranging in clarity from excellent to rubbed but legible. The spoons have a total weight of about 84g.
