Description

We are very pleased to be able to offer this very attractive Christopher Dresser design silver hot chocolate pot.

The chocolate pot is of the typical truncated conical Dresser design with offset ebony handle and spout. The chocolate pot carries rubbed full London hallmarks and makers marks for Goldsmiths and Silversmiths to the body for London 1902, the sterling silver mark, date letter for 1902 and rubbed Goldsmiths and Silversmiths mark to the inside of the lid and the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths address stamp to the base. This latter base stamp is clear but poorly stamped. The body of the chocolate pot is also engraved with a family crest depicting a griffin.

The chocolate pot is (12cm) high and (5.5cm) in diameter at its widest point. It weighs approximately 161g and is in a good antique condition other than the rubbed marks and one or two small indentations.
