We have for sale a lovely cased Edwardian butter dish and matching mutter knife.

This very attractive clam shell shaped solid silver butter dish is accompanied by an Old English shell pattern butter knife. Both pieces carry full Birmingham hallmarks for 1902 along with the makers marks for Charles Wilkes, a Birmingham based silversmith active between 1893 and 1934 in Mott Street Birmingham. The butter dish and knife are presented in their original black leather bound silk lined case.

The dish is just over 5 inches (13.2cm) in diameter at the widest point and the dish and knife together weigh 80.7g. Both the dish and knife are in an excellent antique condition.
