We have the very great pleasure of being able to offer this excellent and hard to find 18th Century George III silver cream jug by Nathaniel Appleton and Ann Smith.

The cream jug is of a beautiful baluster form with a beaded rim extending to an ornate high loop handle with a feathered thumb plate all supported on a circular beaded foot. The cream jug carries full London Hallmarks for 1774, along with the makers marks for the silversmiths Nathaniel Appleton and Ann Smith.

The jug is 3 & 3/4 inches (9.5cm) high and weighs approximately 2.55 Troy ounces (79g) It is in an excellent antique condition with reasonably clear and legible hallmarks, no splits or repairs and only a tiny impression on one side of the bowl (the impression is so small it doesn't show up in the photographs.
