Description

For sale we have a very attractive Georgian silver gravy boat with a silver gilt interior

The jug has a beautifully embossed body extending to simple and very elegant spout at one end and an elegant high looped handle at the other. The rim of the jug is finished with a beautifully decorated flange and the body sits on an ornate footed footring. The base carries full English silver hallmarks for London 1801, along with the makers marks for John Emes.

The jug weighs 167gm and is 3.5 (8.9cm) inches high from the base of the feet to the top of the handle and 6 inches (15.2cm) long from the handle to the tip of the spout. The jug is in a very good antique condition with well struck hallmarks and no major damage.
