Description

We have the pleasure of being able to offer a very attractive late 18th century Flight period Worcester trio.

The trio consists of a fluted teacup, coffee cup and saucer typical of the porcelain produced by Worcester following John Flight's fact finding mission in France. The trio is elegantly decorated with a gilded foliate design with cobalt blue flowers picked out in gilt. The bases of all the components of the trio carry the Worcester under glaze crescent mark.

The saucer is 5 & 3/4 inches (14.6cm) in diameter, the teacup is 3 & 1/2 inches (8.9cm) in diameter excluding the handle and the coffee cup is just over 2 & 1/2 inches (6.4cm) in diameter excluding handle. All the components of the trio are in a very good antique condition with no chips cracks or repairs, however there is some wear to the gilt.
