Description

We have the pleasure of being able to offer this charming 18th Century Worcester blue and white coffee cup and saucer, circa 1770-1790.


This 18th Century Worcester coffee cup and saucer consists of a cup with a grooved handle decorated in underglaze blue with the "Three Flowers" pattern, along with a matching saucer also patterned with the "Three Flowers" pattern. The inner rim of the cup is decorated with underglaze blue tram lines as is the rim of the matching saucer. The bases of both the cup and saucer carry the blue crescent marks.

The cup is approximately 2 & 1/2 inches high (6.3cm) and the saucer approximately 5 inches (12.6cm)in diameter. Both the cup and saucer are in an excellent condition with no chips or cracks, although the saucer carries a small glazed over chip to the rim.
