Description

For sale we have a very nice early to mid Victorian Wedgwood Jasper cameo brooch.

The Brooch consists of a cobalt blue oval panel depicting a typical Wedgwood Jasper classical scene in white. The reverse of the panel is marked with the impressed word Wedgwood along with a simple cross dating it to pre-1891. The Jasper panel has a plain silver mount which carries to the reverse a typical Victorian clasp. The mount carries very rubbed Stirling silver marks along with very rubbed makers marks. The mount is completed with a safety chain.

The brooch is approximately 1 and 5/8 inches (4.1cm) long and the panel is in an excellent condition. The silver mount carries one or two very small indentations and the sterling silver marks and makers marks are very rubbed.
