Description

We have the real pleasure of being able to offer this lovely oil painting by the excellent late 19th Century/early 20th century French landscape artist Adrien Jacques Sauzay.

This well executed oil painting on board depicts a lady standing in front of a tower surveying the view over a town wall. The tower looks remarkably like Bonewaldesthorne's Tower, on the North West Corner the Chester town walls. The painting is signed A Sauzay in the bottom right hand corner. The back of the board carries a label for the framers Niels Hansen & co Odense indicating that at some point in this paintings history it was framed in Denmark.
