A beautifully carved extra large oriental Camphor Chest in good condition.
Camphor Wood is similar to Mahogany in that it is a very hard wood and is great for carving.
However the main reason for using Camphor Wood is its fragrance , it smells like eucalyptus and this is great for repelling moths, so it makes a great Chest.
Sitting on four carved stumpy feet the Chest has carvings on all sides and the top of oriental figures in a decorative landscape. With carved handles on each end and a solid Brass latch.
Inside you get the fabulous camphor wood smell when lifting the lid , along with a small fixed box to one end and the large storage area beneath .
Can be used in the Bedroom or even in your lounge as a coffee table.
