A Superb Yew Wood High Windsor Chair From the workshop of Isaac Allsop who was a highly skilled chair maker in the town of Worksop in Nottinghamshire, this chair at the time of making would have been descibed by the firm as Best Model High Windsor, this can be seen on this chair with the skill going into the leg turnings and the shape of the back splat, they will have used the best Yew Timbers on this model of chair as can be seen in this example. The condition is excellent with a superb colour and patina. circa 1900
