Description

A fabulous late 19th century English oak and brass mounted tobacco box. Completely original and untouched. Still with the original weighted plate which fits inside the box. Aesthetic brass mounts and handles with the handle on the lid modelled as a sphinx. Enamelled lined inside. All standing on brass bracket feet. Could be used as a tea caddy or biscuit box. Box is 5" square. Max. size is 6 1/4" x 5 1/2". Max. height is 8 1/4". All in superb original untouched condition and ready to use.
