An extremely attractive oil on canvas depicting a forest scene with deer drinking from a stream. Sunlight filters through the trees, creating dappled light on the forest floor.
The depth of perspective in this painting is impressive, giving the viewer a real sense of being able to enter the picture.
The colour palette consists mainly of greens, browns, and hints of light yellow and beige to depict sunlight and highlights.
Signed J v Hargraves and dated 1932 in the bottom left corner.
Condition: the painting is in its original condition with various losses of pigmentations which do not detract at all from the chromatic and decorative effect of the painting as they extraordinary blend in with the sunlight effect through the trees.

Return Policy for Distance Selling to Consumers
