Description
An outstanding and rare rosewood Whatnot/Canterbury/Music Etagere dating to circa 1820.A classic Regency pediment top with turned finial columns above a single shelf which is supported by a second pair of turned columns above a second shelf. Below are two open sided compartments united by turned cross spandrels with dividers for papers or sheets of music. A full length drawer at the bottom with original castors finishes this very desirable piece.
Excellent condition with just and a slight historic shrinkage fissure to the bottom shelf (see image).
